About This Project
Background:
The project came to fruition as the Current lease with the landlord – Piedmount – was scheduled to end. GSA competitively announced the NSA HQ lease renewal to the local Washington, DC property management industry. It resulted with NASA agreeing to renew for their lease for another 15 years with Piedmont.
The lease terms required the redesign of every floor using the green design concept endorsed by the NASA Administration. Construction began in February 2011 and is scheduled to be completed by September 2015 with focus on updating the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and floor layout. The renovation is occurring with multiple phases as the building
continues to be fully occupied. Design by Vera Zislin
